I am Christina Marz, founder of Horse Guided Empowerment®

I coach and heal with herds all over the world to promote emotional wellbeing for myself, the horses and our clients. As a HeartMath® Trainer, speaker, Family Therapist and author of a few books, I´ve impacted many lives worldwide. It's been 40+ years now since horses helped me find calmness and empowerment. I grew up in a complicated home in Germany where I felt anxious and disconnected - except when I spent time with horses. In 2001 I moved to Ecuador to find a life with more freedom, closer to nature and horses. It's been scary at times but I learned so much along the way and now I dedicate my life to sharing the impact of the horse and human connection. I am grateful that my 3 kids get to grow up with a herd of horses, a quiet mountain home and lots of travel.

  • Who joins this Certification?

    The ideal candidate for this training is a person with a long, heart-centered equestrian trajectory. They already have an established coaching or counseling practice (or are fiercely committed to creating one). Most of our students own several horses, but it is also possible to find barns/equine therapy places/ horse rescues to work with. The horses need to be part of a harmonious herd.

  • Do I have what it takes?

    Our students are either psychologists, business coaches, natural horse trainers, healers, team trainers, or herd owners who want to create a new business. The most successful students bring experience in riding or training horses. In order to succeed in the course, you need access to several, free-roaming horses in a big paddock.

  • How often do you run this class? Is it always online?

    We now have a fluent onboarding process: This course is open for enrollment every 3 months. Pre-Covid I offered on-site training, but experience has shown that the online format has several advantages: The content is spread out over several months and we reach more depth. But most importantly, you prepare your own horses from day one, and you start attending clients during the course with our supervision. However, we do offer practice days in some locations, and you can also travel to Ecuador for private instruction led by Christina with her own herd. Please inquire for details at [email protected].

  • Will I find clients in my area?

    Location is NO limitation. Our students live in the Arabian Desert, on Caribbean Islands, and in the Andean Mountains. Horse Guided Empowerment® Sessions are needed everywhere! If your location is very remote you can offer retreat programs and longer workshops. If you are close to a city you can offer short, regular sessions or company trainings. Your niche will depend on your background, the location, the herd, your personality, and your choice.

  • I am not sure if I am ready

    Ahhh the perfectionism - I know it too well. Truth is, you’ll never feel 100% ready - and you can continue spending years thinking about doing this, without ever taking action… …OR you could join The Horse Guided Empowerment Certification Training, receive the step-by-step process to coaching and healing with your herd… …AND the support from myself and an entire team of mentors to help you do it - in a matter of weeks!
